Jill Seaborn, Cataloguing Technician
Jill Seaborn connected with Brier Albano to talk about life at Selkirk College and beyond.
How did you make your way to Selkirk College?
My husband was hired in August 2000 as a faculty assistant. A few years later, jobs opened up in the library. We moved to the area for the work.
Describe one of your favourite Selkirk College moments.
I don't remember what year it was. One year, all four of our kids were on campus: three attending college and one working at Selkirk College as an employeee. It became a bit of a joke that everyone felt like they were running into a Seaborn everywhere they went—either me, my husband or one of the kids.
What's the best advice you ever received?
Love is a decision.
What is something you enjoy doing outside of work?
Genealogy. I am pursuing my professional genealogist designation.
Please share a non-work-related recommendation! Let us know one of your favourite shows, albums, books, etc.
I enjoyed taking a trip to Montreal and eating at a poutine restaurant called La Banquise.
