Jeanne Kim named Chair of School of Business

Congratulations to Jeanne on Her New Role!

I am very happy to announce the new School Chair for the School of Business for a three-year term commencing August 1, 2023 will be Jeanne Kim.

Jeanne has been teaching in the School of Business since 2009 and also has taught in the School of Environment & Geomatics. While teaching, Jeanne also worked as the senior project manager at Kootenay Savings Credit Union, as well as run her own project management consulting and training firm.

Jeanne is a certified Project Management Professional and also has her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt professional certificate. She earned her Bachelor of Arts, Political Science from the University of Calgary, her MBA in international business from Royal Roads University, and is currently working on her Doctorate of Education in Distance Education through Athabasca University.

Jeanne clearly embodies a life-long learner mentality with the many other trainings and certifications she has achieved, as well as her many other academic activities and volunteer experience. Jeanne brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that I am confident will serve the SSB students, faculty, and the wider college community very well.

Thank you to the selection committee for their time and effort in this process.

I would also like to sincerely thank Gord Rein for his dedicated service during his time as SSB Chair; it has been my pleasure to work alongside him and I wish him all the best as he returns to teaching.

Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Jeanne to her new upcoming role.

Regards,
