James Heth Named Registrar

Congratulations to James Heth on His New Role

 

I am pleased to announce that James Heth has accepted the position of Registrar at Selkirk College. James comes from the Village of Salmo where he has been in the role of Chief Administrative Officer. He comes to Selkirk College with a wealth of post-secondary experience, an excellent understanding of public sector governance/policy and a history of leadership in his previous positions. He holds a Master of Public Administration (Dalhousie University); a LLB – Bachelor of Laws (University of British Columbia); a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (University of Calgary), and a Bachelor of Arts (honours) in History and International Politics (Royal Roads Military College).

James moved to the West Kootenays in 2022 after working with the University of British Columbia (UBC) since 2011 in a variety of roles in treasury and contracts. Previous to his time at UBC, James held positions as a Corporate Lawyer and a Captain in the Canadian Department of National Defense.
