Notes from the Latest Meeting

March was a busy meeting for Education Council (EdCo), with many course updates in Academic Upgrading & Development, Steps to Opportunities, Academics & Readiness (SOAR), Environment & Geomatics and the Nursing Program.

There were also four approvals in principle, meaning program development and marketing can commence.

• Advanced Certificate in Ceramics
• Advanced Certificate in Entrepreneurship
• Advanced Certificate in Teaching
• Certificate in Interdisciplinary Applications in Rural Data Science

In addition, there were two program suspensions, meaning applications will no longer be accepted for these programs.

• Community Support Worker Associate Certificate (this will also be recommended to the Selkirk College Board of Governors for program cancellation)
• Mental Health and Addictions Associate Certificate
