Upcoming Changes to Employee Training Requirements for 2025

From the desk of Stacey Matthews, Executive Director of Human Resources

As part of our commitment to maintaining a respectful, safe, and compliant work environment, we are implementing a new set of training modules for all employees. Starting in 2025, all employees will be required to complete the following training modules during paid work hours:

  • Respect in the Workplace: Employees can expect to work in a workplace that is free from discrimination, harassment and bullying. This training focuses on fostering a respectful and inclusive work environment, addressing workplace behaviours, and enhancing interpersonal relationships.
  • FOIPPA (Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act): As a public body employee, this course covers obligations under FOIPPA, emphasizing the importance of protecting personal and confidential information.

These trainings are crucial for upholding our organizational values and meeting regulatory requirements. You will receive additional details on how to access and complete these courses soon. Completion of these trainings will be mandatory.

Thank you for your cooperation!
