Rita Williams & Chris Thring Share Chair Position
I am pleased to announce that Rita Williams and Chris Thring have agreed to share the School Chair responsibilities for the School of Business and Aviation. Rita will support the Business Administration program and Chris will support the Aviation program while Henri Bureaud is on leave.
Rita Williams
Rita comes to this position with a history at Selkirk that started in 1996. Rita has worked in a variety of instructional positions including GIS, Computer Science and Business. Rita has also served the College in a variety of roles including ITS Department Head, CIS Coordinator, SCFA PD Committee Chair as well as representing Selkirk as the Provincial Chair for the Computing Education articulation committee.
Chris Thring
Chris came to Selkirk College six years ago from the Aviation Industry where he was Captain of a two-crew Beech 1900D; he was responsible for the safety of his passengers, efficiency and on time performance in a busy environment. Chris has demonstrated his ongoing commitment to Selkirk and our Aviation students with his positive attitude and great work ethic. He has been involved in all areas of program development, flight simulation, course delivery and course assessment. Chris has also spent time and energy on projects involving industry required program compliance and their supporting documentation.
Both Rita and Chris will assume Chair Duties starting August 1, 2012.
