I'd like to welcome Gregg Neelin to Selkirk College as our new Manager for Contract Training and Community Education. Gregg has extensive experience in these areas; most recently for the past 3 years at Assiniboine Community College in Brandon, MB.
Prior to that Gregg was self-employed as a trainer/consultant for 12 years in Barrie, ON. He has also worked for the College of New Caledonia, the Edmonton Social Planning Council and the Alberta Solicitor General.
Gregg and his wife, Twyla, hope to settle in the Castlegar area while they transition to the Kootenays. From previous visits and vacations, the Kootenays had become a place they thought they might like to settle sometime; and now its becoming a reality.
With the elimination of the Dean's position for Community, Corporate and International Development, this Manager's position will report to the VP Education and Students; as will the recently posted Manager, International Education and Development. In order to facilitate the development of useful interactions within the Education and Students division, both positions will participate in the Deans and Chairs meetings, and the Deans and Directors meetings.
Please join me in welcoming Gregg to the college. His first day on the job will be Monday, April 30.
