CEWT Welcomes New Team Member

Carol Currie Takes on Role of Kootenay Workforce Development Coordinator


The Community Education & Workplace Training (CEWT) department is pleased to announce the addition of Carol Currie who has been hired to the position of Kootenay Workforce Development Coordinator starting February 16, 2015.

Carol arrives to Selkirk College from an extensive background as employment counsellor, workplace essential skills trainer, and manager of WorkBC programs with the Trail Skills Centre. 

In her new role as Kootenay Workforce Development Coordinator, Carol will be working in the CEWT department under the direction the Kootenay Workforce Roundtable Steering Committee to work with local employers to develop and implement programs and services related to employee attraction and retention, secondary to post-secondary pathways, local and regional labour market information, and training and skills development.
