Funding for Professional Development

Staff Encouraged to Discover Opportunities

Public and Private Employees Union (PPWC) employees interested in pursuing further education may qualify for various types of funding. Visit MySelkirk Professional Development page where you will find detailed information in the PD Handbook.

Tuition Remission Program relief may be available for eligible Selkirk College courses for PPWC members, their partners and dependents. Information can also be found in your collective agreement Article 19.0. Find the tuition remission application on MySelkirk.

Professional Development Program funding of up to $750 per fiscal year may be available for job-related courses. Funding is capped, requires committee approved, and is structured on a first come, first serve basis.

Credential Completion Program of up to $10,000 in funding is available. Offered annually, based on budgetary constraints. Learn more about this opportunity.
