Canadian Rural Revitalization Inviting Submissions

Explore Rural Potential

What if you could put your research results, projects, or ideas into the hands of those who would use it to make life in rural Canada better?

The 2017 Canadian Rural Revitalization Conference is all about exploring rural potential for prosperity. This interdisciplinary conference brings together people passionate about rural places from all different places, professions and interest.

Selkirk College Applied Research and Innovation Centre has partnered with the Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation to host the annual conference in Nelson from September 20 to 23. This is an opportunity to learn from colleagues, share your own success stories and hear about the latest research on issues that matter to communities and people who call rural Canada home.

The organizing committee would like to invite Selkirk College staff to submit your ideas for presentations on one of four themes: Workforces of Tomorrow, Our Changing Environment, Creating Connections, Communities of Opportunity. The deadline is March 10, 2017.
