With July here, I’m reminded that summer is the time for some to take a break while others are very busy working to prepare the college for the next intake of students in Sept. For those of you who will be able to have some time away from work, I wish you relaxation, sunshine (please!) and rejuvenation.—July 30, 2012
Our Aboriginal Gathering Place Officially Opens Its Doors
Please join in the May 24th reception and open house. Refreshments and appetizers are being served, so please RSVP to the Development Department by May 14th to 250.365.1360 or events@selkirk.ca. If you are unable to join us on for this opening, there will be an open house from noon till 6:00 p.m. on May 31st and June 1st. —May 7, 2012
Building Service Worker Certification Course Starting May 28th
This is an introduction to custodial/housekeeping operations (both theory and practical applications) used in cleaning procedures for all surfaces. Students will also complete the certification with OFA1, WHMIS, and resume instruction.—May 7, 2012
Shredding For Tenth Street Campus
Please box up your old exams/confidential materials with lids and tape and label them "Shredding" and take them to the art room.—May 3, 2012

Moodle Training for May

Disability Services Procedural Changes
Accommodation forms will be given to instructors by the DS coordinator/students. This year, Disability Services is introducing a new procedure which will give faculty a formal opportunity to provide feedback regarding the recommended accommodations listed in students’ accommodation forms. —February 2, 2012
Research Ethics Committee - Human Subjects
Submission deadline for research applications to be reviewed by the REC-HS will be eight days before the next REC-HS meeting. Student research projects will be expedited. The REC-HS requires that research applicants have read policy 8700 prior to application.—February 2, 2012
