Vodcasting - short video segments of learning - workshop has spaces

Selkirk College is running a workshop on Vodcasting – the practice of creating short learning segments on video to students before, during and after a course. There are a few spots available on a first come, first subscribed basis. The session will be recorded for those who cannot make the live presentation. The workshop is hosted by the Teaching and Learning Institute and will be held at the Tenth Street Campus in Nelson.

Workshop Content

In Part One, workshop leader April Gudenrath, Flipped Classroom Cadre, ISTE, CCIRA will explain the why, when and what to consider when preparing short video podcasts (vodcasts) for a course. She will lead an exercise examining what parts of your course to vodcast. In Part Two, a week later, there will be a demonstration of and practice using vodcasting equipment.
