SEG Students Head to Death Valley For Field Work

SEG students tackle forest diseases

As part of our annual field experience, SEG students will head to Death Valley to remove and pile dead Lodgepole pine afflicted with Mountain Pine Beatle and Western Gall rust. Students will be on site Saturday, Sunday and Monday doing the work.

Trail users warned

Work will be done with power saws so there will be some noise in the afternoons. Trail users will see signage and flagging showing the work areas for safety purposes.  Contact School of Environment & Geomatics Instructor/Woodlot Manager for details Pete Schroder.
