IEP Students Partner With City For Community Plan

Selkirk College's Integrated Environmental Planning Students, Class of 2013 are inviting everyone to an open house event this Thursday evening(March 21) at the Castlegar Community Forum.

Students will be showcasing and soliciting input on their City of Castlegar Official Community Plan Implementation Plans. According to Peter Holton, IEP Instructor, “We've been doing this for about 10 years – in Rossland, Nelson, with the RDCK, etc. It's a model called community-based learning. It provides an important service to the city, adds relevance to the students' work, and solidifies the relationship between Selkirk College and the community.”

Working With City of Castlegar Development Services

The event is being held in conjunction with the City of Castlegar Development Services Department.The Open House is being held Thursday, March 21 at 7:00 pm at the City of Castlegar Community Forum 445 13th Ave Castlegar. For more details or questions, contact Peter Holton  at 250.354.3559.
