Firewood For Sale From Forestry Class

Forestry Students Raising Money For March Field Trip

Selkirk College's second year forestry class stands in front of some of the firewood they are selling to raise money for their March field trip in 2014. Interfor Forest Products donated a logging truck load of firewood to the Forestry class, which they are currently busy cutting, splitting and marketing.

A truck load of almost pure Larch was kindly donated by Interfor earlier this month and the students have been bucking, splitting and stacking the wood into cords.

  • Price per cord:  $250
  • Species:  95% Larch
  • Piece length: 14-16 inches
