College Set to Welcome New VPs

Kerry Clarke and John Kincaid Join Leadership Team

Selkirk College will welcome two new team members in November when both Kerry Clarke and John Kincaid arrive to our area to start in their new vice president roles.

With the retirement of VP Students and Advancement/Registrar Cathy Mercer and VP College Services/CFO Gary Leier, these two individuals were hired to continue the great work being done on behalf of the college. President Angus Graeme officially made the announcement in an email at the end of September.

Effective November 6, Kerry Clarke will be assuming the role of VP College Services/CFO. Kerry holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh. He joins Selkirk College following a successful career at our sister institution Northwest Community College where he held a number of directorships and served latterly as Director Ancillary and Facility Services. Prior to his work at NWCC, Mr. Clarke served as a Coroner with the BC Coroner’s Service.

Effective November 14, John Kincaid will be assuming the role of Vice President Students and Advancement/Registrar. John holds an MBA from the University of Regina. He joins Selkirk College following successful posts as Director Enrolment Services at the University of Regina and prior to that as Director Recruitment and Student Life at the University of Lethbridge.

Both Kerry and John bring a depth of experience in post-secondary, demonstrated student centred approaches, and leadership principles that align with the values and mission of Selkirk College. Please take time to make both John and Kerry feel welcome!
