Stock Up on Firewood and Help Forestry Students

Annual Sale is a Win-Win

Students in the Selkirk College Forest Technology Program have been busy cutting firewood over the last couple weeks and are now ready to get the stacks to you.

The annual firewood sale helps fund the year-end trip for students in the second year of the program. This year they will travel to the west coast to check out some managed and wilderness forests as part of an educational trip.

Forestry Program Firewood Sale

Second year students in the Forest Technology Program have been busy cutting firewood in anticipation for sale which will help fund a trip to west coast ecosystems in the second semester.

Right now the class is selling mixed cords of firewood which are predominantly fir and larch, but there's a bit of everything in there. They are selling it for $250 delivered and stacked (not just dumped on your lawn) or $220 picked up. Pickup location is the Castlegar Campus and students will help with the loading.

They currently have seven cords ready to go, but are expecting another delivery of wood so more will be available.
