Time Running Out for Respectful Workplace Training
As part of the 2012/2013 provincial bargaining table discussions, all colleges in the public sector undertook a provincial initiative to provide Respectful Workplace Training for all employees.
This complemented Selkirk College’s commitment to the fundamental principle of a healthy workplace and brought us into compliance with recently introduce WorkSafe BC legislation regarding the prevention of bullying and harassment in the workplace through the enactment of Bill 14 in the summer of 2012.
In that first year, Selkirk provided training to more than 200 employees with either face-to-face sessions (with Arleen Gallo and Liana Zwick) or by on-line training developed by Frame & Associates for province wide use.
You Have Until March 31
Our target is to ensure that all employees participate and complete in a training session by March 31, 2014. So if you have not had the opportunity to participate in a training session, please do so by initiating the on-line training by going to this link:

Upon completion of the on-line training, your name will be added to the completed list and all chairs, deans and managers will receive a completion report.
