Made for Trades a Success

On Friday (December 6), high school students from around the region were introduced to the incredible array of trades options available at Nelson's Silver King Campus. Almost 100 students attended the Made for Trades day which was a showcase of the programs Selkirk College offers.‌

From esthetics to welding, students in Grades 11 and 12 were offered an introduction to programs that are in high demand across the province and the country. Students were provided with demonstrations and completed hands-on projects over the course of the day.

Congraduations to Educational Recruitment Specialist Amy Kinakin and the Selkirk College marketing team for putting together the event. Huge kudos to all the instructors and staff at the Silver King Campus who put forward a tremendous effort to make this first annual event such a success. It was very well recieved by students and the counsellors who accompanied them for the day.
