Eligible Individuals Receive Tuition Free Access to Training

Funding from Ministry of Jobs, Tourism, and Skills Training Supports Access to Training in the Selkirk College Region

 

The purpose of Employment Skills Access (ESA) is to provide eligible individuals tuition free access to skill development targeting local/regional labour market priorities. This group-based training is for individuals who need to upgrade their skills in order to get employed. Qualified participants primarily include unemployed, non-EI clients but may include employed, low-skilled individuals on an exceptional basis. ESA Programs include: Administrative Skills Training, Advanced Computer Training and Class 1 Professional Driver Training.

The purpose of the BladeRunners (BR) program is to provide tuition free access to skill development to youth experiencing difficulty finding steady employment. Qualified participants will be 15-30 years of age, not eligible for EI or reach back status, and out of school. BR Programs include: Safety in Resource Industry: Forestry training and Learning for Living training.
