CBAL Awards goes to Selkirk College

Selkirk College has been selected as the recipient of the 2012 Partner in Learning Award for Greater Trail. This award is to honour a community partner who has demonstrated a continued commitment to Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy (CBAL) initiatives in Greater Trail. CBAL would not be the organization it is today without the support of community partners.

Champions For Literacy

Recipients, also referred to as Champions for Literacy, of the CBAL award were invited to a special evening at the Greater Trail Community Centre on Thursday, June 21st.

Selkirk College President, Angus Graeme, had this to say about receiving the award, “What an honour it was to attend such an inspiring event with our valued partner, CBAL. To see our instructors in Trail receive recognition for their work to provide access to learning and literacy in the community makes me proud to be a part of Selkirk College”.
