Annual Open House Event is Coming Up

Opportunities to Discover

 

We're opening our doors to the public on a Saturday - November 2 from 10 to 2 p.m. - The Pit, Castlegar Campus.

 

Selkirk College's Open House is our most important event of the year with our entire college team on board to represent our school as a great place to learn.

This is a primary direct-to-student recruitment event where we open our doors to the public and let the community explore what we have to offer. Open House provides an opportunity for potential students, parents and educators to learn more about programs and services. Your participation is invaluable to the success of this event. Program and service areas are showcased in a “trade show” format set up in The Pit.

Requirements

1. Complete the participation form by October 16.

2. Print your school's promotional materials found here: Marketing & Graphic Resources

3. Host an interactive and engaging booth - Selkirk College programs and services are responsible for organizing and staffing their own table with a representative who can answer specific program, career outcomes, admission and transfer questions. School chairs are preferred. Student participation is encouraged as they are relatable to young people in attendance. It's also a great learning experience for the student. You are encouraged to stage a lab, dress up your table with props or provide other demonstrations or interactive and engaging activities at their table.

Time: 9 to 10 a.m.

Your booth needs:

•Selkirk College branded table cloth
•Program or Service standup banners 
•School flyers
•Extension cord if power is required
