Beyond Stigma: Increasing Our Understanding of Mental Health in the Workplace presented by Catherine Wilcox

In today’s society, there remains a lack of awareness, and sometimes bias, regarding mental health problems. This wellness session will assist participants in enhancing their understanding of the personal and environmental factors that can have an impact on mental health, the common signs and symptoms of mental health troubles, and the most appropriate prevention and intervention strategies.

Catherine Wilcox, MEd., is a registered clinical counsellor, a certified psychological health and safety advisor (Canadian Mental Health Association), and an internationally experienced Leadership consultant. Catherine brings a unique combination of clinical practice and human resources expertise to the transformative work of personal and organizational change. For over 15 years, Catherine has been impacting people’s lives for the better by counselling, consulting and facilitating workshops and training. Areas of specialization include workplace mental health, civility and respect in the workplace, and leadership development.
