Applied Research Morning

Are you interested in research? Join us at the Applied Research and Innovation Centre to get involved in a ‘Strategic Doing’ workshop to advance applied research and scholarly learning at Selkirk College and then learn more about ‘research in action’ in the Pit.

  • Expect to walk away with a task to advance a ‘pathfinder’ project
  • Expect to share and / or be inspired by the ‘research in action’ stories our college community will be celebrating in the Pit from 11:45-1pm.

Those who are ready ‘to do’ are encouraged to attend.

Strategic Doing is a new discipline that has been pioneered by Purdue University and is being used to transform engineering education in the United States, to revitalize neighborhoods in Flint Michigan, to innovate workforce development in Northern Indiana and is now being used right here in the Kootenays to both innovate workshop development and to advance our region’s economic development practitioners network.
