Student Feedback Workshop

Supporting Student Learning

Nurse educator Andrea Mackenzie offers a workshop for instructors and facilitators on providing effective feedback strategies to students.

Mackenzie is a Neonatal Resuscitation and Fetal Health Surveillance instructor with Interior Health. She also teaches an online perinatal course for Registered Nurses offered through the University of Northern British Columbia.

She is appearing at Selkirk College to present a workshop on how to provide effective feedback for her capstone project for her Professional Instructor Diploma Program.

"I chose to explore this topic because I wanted to learn more," she says. "I welcome people to join me in exploring feedback strategies with me and eachother."

In this 90 minute workshop you will:

  • Examine and discuss effective feedback strategies: Formative vs. Summative
  • Determine, select and apply effective feedback strategies through a case study
