Forest Technology Program Students Mark National Forest Week
As part of National Forest Week, students in the Selkirk College Forest Technology Program will be handing out 200 Douglas Fir and Lodgepole Pine seedlings on the Castlegar Campus.
National Forest Week is sponsored by the Canadian Institute of Forestry, and is celebrated across the country. Students will be at the main entrace of the Castlegar Campus with the seedlings and will be providing people information about topics like regenerating our forests or the wildfire situation in BC. The students and faculty can also give helpful hints on where and how to plant the seedlings!
PRT in Harrop has kindly donated the trees for this event (big shout-out to Melanie Buerge at PRT!).
