Celebrate Neil Coburn's Retirement

Join Selkirk College in honouring retiring Vice President of Education Neil Coburn with a celebration being held on the Castlegar Campus on Thursday, August 30.
Neil began working for Selkirk College in the mid-1990s when he, his wife and three sons moved to the West Kootenay from Ontario. He worked as an instructor, department head, dean and since 2011, he served as Vice President, Education.
Standing out at Selkirk College graduation ceremonies in his colourful robe, Neil achieved his academic standing as a student at the University of Waterloo and Western University. He completed undergraduate and graduate work in mathematics and computer science and went on to complete a degree in education as well.
Neil says that Selkirk College has provided him "with many opportunities for growth and development." The strong leader appreciates the vital role community college plays and he worked tirelessly to support Selkirk initiatives providing opportunity to those in our region and beyond.
