Official Opening of New Castlegar Campus Staff Kitchen

Environmental Sustainability Committee Invites You for Treats


As part of the Environmental Sustainability Committee's effort to improving Selkirk College as a green workplace, the group is pleased to announce the official opening of the staff kitchen on the Castlegar Campus.

The Power Saints campaign has been taking place over the last few months. Focused on encouraging people to remove power-heavy appliances from their offices (microwaves, mini-fridges, coffee makers, etc.), the program is working. Part of the commitment by the committee is that to help replace the appliances (and bring staff together), a new staff kitchen would be created.

New Staff Fridge

The new staff fridge is ready to go and more improvements will be made to the O-Wing kitchen by March 16.

The new kitchen is located in the Lower O-Wing (O-019) and will be fully operational by March 16. The committee is inviting staff to a grand opening between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. where they will be serving coffee and baked goods. Please come and check the new space out.
