Hedwig Hits the Road

Nelson Run a Massive Success, Still Chance to Catch It

The local production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch had nine amazing shows at Nelson’s Shambhala Music & Performance Hall during the month of February. Now the musical is hitting the road for two special engagements in Trail and Cranbrook.

Here’s what people are saying about the performance that stars Bessie Wapp, Sydney Black and a supporting cast of Selkirk College Music & Technology Program students and instructors.

Hedwig Hits the Road in Kootenays

Sydney Black plays Ytizak brilliantly in Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

“I was completely bowled over by Hedwig and the Angry Inch!” said Nelson resident Chad Hansen. “Bessie Wapp has engrained a performance in my brain. I won’t soon forget. Utterly brilliant! Sydney Blacks role is a gem as well that fills out a wonderful show. What voices, impressive job on all accounts!”

All the shows in Nelson were sold out or pretty close to it. In case you missed it, there are two opportunities remaining in the Kootenays.

Tickets can be purchased at either the Charles Baily Theatre or Key City Theatre online or at their box offices.
