Over the past 50 years, Selkirk College has touched the lives of thousands of people across the West Kootenay-Boundary and beyond.
As the college celebrates its golden anniversary in 2016-2017, now is the time to tell the story about how Selkirk College has contributed to your life. Your stories can be about inspiring instructors, college life highlights, memorable students or pivotal moments. The stories can be serious, silly, sad or sentimental.
Share with Selkirk College
- Your stories, recollections and reflections about Selkirk College
- Photos of people, places and events are all important markers of our history
- Your memorabilia to help illustrate the history of the college
If you would like to contribute to bringing history alive in Selkirk College’s golden year, take some time to write your story and send it to us. Be as detailed as you like, the more information the better. Dig through those boxes in the basement to find photos, newspaper clippings, posters, pins or anything else that sends you on a walk down memory lane.
How Your Material will be Used
Some of this material will be used in a commemorative coffee table book being produced that chronicles the past, present and future of Selkirk College. All of it will be incorporated into helping tell the story of the college, whether it’s through sharing on social media or other avenues in the coming months.
Contact Bob Hall, Communications Coordinator by email to share your story, idea and/or your memorabilia.
