Former Chair of UAS Takes On New Role
With Rhonda Schmitz moving on to the new position of Director of Social Development, former Chair of the School of University Arts & Sciences will take over as one of Selkirk College’s four Deans. Vice President of Education & Students Neil Coburn made it official in late-June.
Below is his announcement:
I'm very happy to announce that David Feldman has accepted the position of Dean. David will be responsible for the schools of Academic Upgrading & Development and of University Arts & Sciences. He will also provide leadership for the Mir Centre for Peace.
David came from Camosun College in 1999 and started at Selkirk as the Math/Science Tutor. Since then he has been a Mathematics instructor and School Chair for University Arts & Sciences. He has also held the position of Chair for Education Council and President for the Selkirk College Faculty Association. He has been effective, responsible and considerate in each of these roles and has gained respect across the institution.
David will take up his new duties in August. Please join me in welcoming David to his new role at Selkirk College.
